Issues

On some pages there are missing labels for form controls Issue: This fails WCAG 2.1, Level A, 1.3.1 (info and relationships). We plan to fix this within 6 months by January 2025, by adding a label to the form control so when users tab to it they are notified of its function.

Some pages have broken ARIA References. This fails WCAG 2.1, Level A, 4.1.2 (name, role and value). We plan to fix this within 6 months by January 2025, by removing the ariadescribeby.

Charts aren’t labelled properly. This fails WCAG 2.1, Level A, 3.3.2 (on input). We plan to fix this within 6 months by January 2025, by adding labels to indicate the information represented on the charts.

Preparation of this accessibility statement

This statement was prepared on 05 July 2022. It was last reviewed on 25 July 2024.

This website was and is currently being tested for compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 level A and level AA, and these tests have been carried out externally and independently.

NISRA used the Website Accessibility Conformance Evaluation Methodology (WCAG-EM) approach to deciding on a sample of pages to test, as well as selecting specialised pages on our web application, including interactive content, and excel spreadsheets.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

Maintaining an accessible site is an ongoing process and NISRA is continually working to offer an accessible and user-friendly experience.

We are working towards achieving full accessibility compliance by fixing all of the issues identified in this statement and regularly running accessibility checks to ensure full compliance is maintained.
